We provide financial support for students actively involved in one of our partner nonprofit organizations seeking any type of continuing or higher education, including trade schools, professional certifications, associates or bachelors degrees.

Our Pedestal Scholars are selected from the greater Richmond metro area. Also, you must be accepted into a post-secondary education institution. Read below for more details.

Yes. We partner with several local youth-serving nonprofits. Your application will list your membership as a program participant in one of our partner organizations.

No. You won’t be asked to provide any financial information.

A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required, but academic achievement is just one of the criteria used to select our Pedestal Scholars. Others include leadership, academic potential, and a personal statement.

We grant scholarships for accredited four- and two-year universities and colleges, technical and professional schools, even qualifying apprenticeships. All we ask is that you continue your education after high school.

Pedestal Scholars receive a one-year $5,000 scholarship.

Certainly. Every Pedestal Scholar can apply for the following year of support, so long as they remain enrolled in good standing in higher learning.

All applications must be submitted between the 15th of February, 2025, and the 15th of April, 2025

Once your enrollment is confirmed, we’ll work directly with your higher education institution for the transfer of scholarship funds.
