You first will need to register for an account. Click the Register button in the top right corner of the application page. Once registration is complete, click on the View Programs button.Make sure you verify your email in order to submit your application! Click Send Verification Link and then verify your email address.

You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. You must be a graduating senior from Petersburg or Richmond City, Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, Goochland, or Powhatan County Public Schools. You must be accepted into or enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program at a college, trade or technical school, or university. A minimum of 12 credit hours per semester is required.
The Pedestal Fund Board of Directors and members of their respective households are not eligible to apply for or receive The Pedestal Fund scholarships. If this applies to you at the time of application or when winners are announced, you will not be eligible for the scholarship.
The decision of the judges is final. The scholarship recipients waive the rights of publicity and agree that The Pedestal Fund may use their name, images, and testimonials in promotional materials. If the recipient is a minor, acceptance of The Pedestal Fund scholarship constitutes a waiver unless specifically stated by the minor’s parents/guardians.

Yes. We partner with several local youth-serving nonprofits. Your application will list your membership as a program participant in one of our partner organizations.

No. You won’t be asked to provide any financial information.

A minimum senior year GPA of 2.5 is required, but academic achievement is just one of the criteria used to select our Pedestal Scholars. Others include leadership, academic potential, and a personal statement.
An official transcript from your school must included with your application.

We grant scholarships for accredited four- and two-year universities and colleges as well as technical and trade schools.

Pedestal Scholars receive a one-year scholarship up to $5,000 to cover tuition costs.

Certainly. Every Pedestal Scholar can apply for the following year of support, so long as they remain enrolled in good standing in higher learning.

All applications must be submitted by March 31, 2025. Incomplete applications past the deadline will be rejected.

The scholarship award will be paid directly to the recipient’s institution of higher education. If selected to receive a scholarship from The Pedestal Fund, the award is contingent upon agreeing to terms and conditions and providing The Pedestal Fund with the information requested to disburse payment including a college acceptance letter, date of enrollment, financial aid department address, and contact information, in addition to social security number and student ID number. The Pedestal Fund is not responsible for lost or illegible applications. This offer is subject to change at any time.
